And Polish officials said the plane carrying President Lech Kaczynski and his wife and other high-level officials crashed in dense fog in western Russia on Saturday morning, killing all aboard.
Russian television showed parts of the body of the blazing aircraft that are still scattered in a forest near Smolensk bare, the president arrived for a ceremony commemorating the assassination of the Polish officers more than 20,000 by the Red Army also invaded Poland.
