HP buys ArcSight for $1.5 Billion

HP buys ArcSight for $1.5 Billion
Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) announced this morning on a deal to buy ArcSight (ARST) for $ 43.50 per share in cash, or about 1.5 billion dollars. The Wall Street Journal over the weekend reported that the two companies were on the verge of signing an agreement. It is expected that the transaction takes place before the end of the calendar year.
Treatment is still the wave of HP current expenditure, which include acquisitions of 3Com, and Palm 3Par, among other companies.
