Today, I issued the Republicans in the House of Representatives for their commitment to America. David Frum, a Republican who claims to fame these days is bashing other Republicans, already panning, which tells me that it is likely to praise.
In fact, the idea that Frum is trying to position himself as an advocate for a tea party, as it does in the office of the undertaking, is funny. Has shown that he has nothing to do with the priorities Tea Party, which is in fact their enemy in a way: his “compassionate conservative” is a big government, of a kind very bankruptcy that the nation, and despise the tea party. In many ways, and the tea ceremony is a rebellion against Frums Beltway – a prisoner in the world. But enough about it.
It is clear that is intended to “pledge for America,” the name to call the 1994 “Contract with America” that Republicans used to focus their message and the nationalization of that year on their way to take both houses of Congress for the first time in decades. And historical reference, it’s good. Republicans united and rode to victory in 1994, and we are on the verge of doing the same thing in 2010. I would have preferred something more daring, and suggested that in fact the “freedom agenda” of the Republican National Committee a few months back when I was still within the party structure. But “commitment to America” solid.
